After starting at Jößnitz Castle, the route first goes through the Lohbach Gorge, a valley of untouched nature. Almost reaching Barthmühle, where Lohbach and Döhlaubach merge, the path lined with steep slopes leads uphill to the Hebammensteig junction. At this point, the Döhlaubach is crossed and the route ascends again over a forest and meadow path, the Hebammensteig, towards Jößnitz. From here, there is an excellent panoramic view of the surroundings up to Steinsdorf, with its church and the beautiful old farmhouses. The Hebammensteig continues to the old village in Jößnitz. Passing the Jößnitz church (open from Easter to October), which is located in the village center, over old alleys back to the castle.
