Natura Trail "Großer Weidenteich"

• Start at the parking lot in the authority center of the city of Plauen or directly at the furniture store
• Turn left into the street "Am Eichhäuschen"
• At Zaderastraße turn left until the Neundorf village entrance sign
• Cross the street and follow an unpaved path along a gray industrial fence on the right side
• The path leads at the end into open meadowland with a view of the water tower
• The path turns right and later left (= Neundorf circular hiking trail/NRW: yellow/white markings)
• You reach Badestraße and the Vogtland Panorama Trail (VPW). Behind it is the Neundorf Neuteich
• Go left along the VPW and NRW; rest area
• After about 400 m turn right into the forest - left is Pechhüttenteich
• At a crossroads go over the VPW onto the concrete "Panzerstraße" (new bench)
• To the left is the Kleine Weidenteich, to the right afterwards is the nature reserve "Großer Weidenteich" with a large information board
• Along the VPW, after 4.8 km, the open heathland of the nature reserve becomes visible (new bench and on the left a military bunker)
• The VPW continues over small hills with beautiful views, including the "Feldherrenhügel" (currently not accessible)
• Hill "Wartberg" with rest area and Sachsenforst info board
• Along the VPW/NRW we reach the street from Kobitzschwalde to Neundorf
• Along the field path towards the Neundorf village entrance
• Turn right behind the former guesthouse "Am Steinbruch"
• Hill "Burgstättel" with a small pavilion
• Downwards along the NRW we come upon a field hedge on the left that leads in the direction of Neundorf
• Cross the Neundorf border path into Schlossacker street, then left past Steinpöhl and after about 300 m turn left into Blechschmidtweg
• Turn right onto Vetterstraße and into Lindemannstraße, then left at "Schwanzgrund"
• Continue to Mückenbergerstraße and turn left into the grounds of the authority center ("Europaratstraße") to the starting point

Drive through Plauen towards Neundorf / authority center.

You can reach the starting point of the circular hiking trail directly by tram line 1 or 3 to the terminal stop Neundorf (Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz and biller furniture store): www.strassenbahn-plauen.de
