The "Upper Lusatian Umgebindehausstraße" is a circular route through the municipalities of Großschönau, Mittelherwigsdorf, Oderwitz, Kottmar as well as the towns of Herrnhut, Ebersbach-Neugersdorf, and Seifhennersdorf along the beautiful half-timbered houses of the respective municipality.

Oderwitz is located at the foot of the 510m high Spitzberg. From there, you have a wonderful view of the 3 very well-preserved post mills and a still functional water mill. You can admire part of the approximately 450 well-preserved half-timbered houses in the town along the Umgebindehausstraße along the Landwasser. The path leads you on an asphalt road from Niederoderwitz to Oberoderwitz.
