Path to Industrial Culture Zwickau

The Path to Industrial Culture leads right through the heart of the automobile and Robert Schumann city of Zwickau. Passing by 18 distinctive stations, including the historic town center and the old gasometer, you can explore Zwickau's industrial history on foot.

As early as the 15th century, Martin Römer laid the foundations for Zwickau's cultural and recreational spaces with buildings such as the grain house, today's city library, and the Swan Pond. The industrial boom that followed in the 19th and 20th centuries is still visible today in the residential areas of the Gründerzeit and Art Nouveau eras and in new churches or cultural and social institutions.
