On a route in the realm of the Sun King. Cycle through the fascinating history of the fortress town Saarlouis on a route through the region. City gates, barracks, fortifications, and historic administrative buildings recall the past and give Saarlouis its very special charm. The Saarlouis old town offers excellent opportunities for final relaxation.

Cultural highlights of the 48-kilometer route include the German Newspaper Museum with exhibits on the historical development of newspapers as well as the crystal factory in Wadgassen, which has meanwhile been converted into an adventure center. It is also attracted by the Wolfsrath wildlife enclosure.
At the Ökosee, with its natural reed beds, in Dillingen, our route meets the particularly family-friendly Saar cycle path. You can glide along comfortably and finish the route in Saarlouis or just keep cycling!
