The route takes you through the southwest villages of Bad Gandersheim and some neighboring towns.

At the starting point of the route, you already have the opportunity to experience the history of Gandersheim, e.g., on a walk through the old town, as a guest in the City Museum, or by visiting the Romanesque Collegiate Church with the exhibition "Discovering Treasures Anew."

In Kalefeld, you can visit the Weißenwasserkirche, and in the Heckenbeck district, the route passes by the grave of the composer Albert Methfessel.
