Village Churches Cycling Route - Variant 3

The second variant of the Village Churches Cycling Route invites you on a pleasurable day trip covering 36.4 km and about 500 meters of elevation, focusing on experiencing places of faith. Eight very different churches and chapels – from the Romanesque church in Wormbach to the forest chapel on the Kohlhagen and the modern Light and Encouragement Church in Gleidorf – give the route a special, quiet rhythm. On well-developed, partly paved, partly stabilized bike paths, mostly through quiet valleys or across wide uplands, landscape and places of faith combine into an inspiring experience. Whether silent contemplation, interesting listening stations, historic cemeteries, or colorful ceiling paintings – the route surprises with variety. Opportunities to stop for food, rest areas, and small detours to special chapels complete the experience. Ideal for e-bikers and leisure cyclists with a sense of culture, nature, and moments of reflection.
