The Friedenskirche Küsten is a neo-Gothic brick building and is characterized above all by the clear and modern design of its interior. This was refurbished in 1998 by the artist Jürgen Goertz, who grew up in Küsten.
The first documented mention of a church on this site dates back to 1375. As is typical in the Wendish Rundling villages, the church in Küsten never stood in the center of the village, but outside the Rundling on the edge of the village. The current building was erected in 1865 and fitted with an organ in 1968. The altar, baptismal font and pulpit were renovated as part of the artistic redesign at the end of the 1990s.
