Hofladen Armbrecht
This motto is a labor of love for Torsten Armbrecht, and it forms the foundation of his modern farm. His grandfather, Alfred Armbrecht, started out with a traditional farm: cropland, livestock, and, of course, asparagus—the hallmark of the Südheide region.
In 1965, Hans-Heinrich Armbrecht took over the farm. His father found a partner in Sigrid Wemmel, who worked alongside him to build up and expand the farm. To this day, Sigrid and Hans-Heinrich Armbrecht roll up their sleeves whenever it comes to asparagus, potatoes, onions, and—above all—the weekly markets.
Livestock was completely phased out in 1985. Like many other farms, they had to specialize: asparagus, potatoes, onions, and their direct marketing are the core business of the farm in Leiferde.
In 2006, Torsten Armbrecht took over the farm from his father.
His motto: Time-honored tradition and the highest quality are the benchmarks for agriculture of tomorrow!
The farm store impresses with high-quality products made on the farm. Fresh potatoes, asparagus, onions, and pumpkins, as well as handmade jams, are available. Seasonal fruits and vegetables straight from the farm are also on offer.
But it’s not just their own products on the shelves. Delicacies from the Hacke Bakery in Ahnsen, authentic “Milchburschen” ice cream from Ettenbüttel, and honey from Leiferde are also for sale. Delicacies from beyond the region, such as fine brandies from the Prinz Distillery, apples and pears from the Altes Land, and select wines from the Kay Bamberg Winery, round out the shopping experience.
Other products: Creative muesli from Hey Ho in Lüneburg, dairy products from the Osterwiese dairy farm, spreads from Zwergenwiese, flaxseed oil from Bruno Zimmer, a selection of cheeses, and salad dressings from Bee Green.
The 24-hour vending machine, located right at the farm entrance, is always open and is regularly restocked with fresh goods.
