Church
The Protestant Kreuzkirche in Südstadt was built between 1913 and 1916 and is considered a striking monument of early 20th century German architecture.
In a balanced form, it combines art nouveau, neoclassical and already unmistakably modern elements. The ceilings in both the bridal hall and the church interior are particularly interesting. The harmony between architecture and furnishings is due to the fact that the architect was also entrusted with the design of the inventory. The original state was preserved and renewed during the restoration in the 1980s.
