Church

The town church dates back to three eras. The foundation stone was laid in 1428 and a spacious nave was built in 1845 according to plans by G. L. F. Laves.

St. Johannis Church is the oldest and most important sacred building in southern Solling and was built as a baptismal and funeral church. Remarkable art treasures include the late Gothic winged altar, the stained glass windows and the sacrament house.
