Kristýna Lake in Hrádek nad Nisou (Czech Republic) is a popular recreational area that was created after brown coal mining. Renaturation began in 1972. The lake has an area of 14 hectares and is about 28 m deep.

The lake facility offers many possibilities for sports activities such as inline skating, cycling, hiking, swimming, fishing, and water sports like paddleboarding and pedal boats. Around the lake, there are a total of 14 fitness stations and 10 wooden fairy tale sculptures (artist symposium) that have been created in recent years. The lake can be easily circumnavigated. If you extend the route, you will reach the tripoint of Germany, Czech Republic, and Poland in about 1.4 km!

From the train station in Hrádek nad Nisou (direct train connection from Dresden and Zittau) follow the yellow marking to Kristýna Lake. At Kristýna Lake, you can either take a lap around the lake or continue to the tripoint. There are many restaurants and snack bars right by the lake.

Kristýna Lake is about 5 km from Zittau. Head towards Hrádek nad Nisou (first roundabout, last exit).

There are 2 large parking lots right at Kristýna Lake, chargeable in summer.

There is a direct train from Zittau to Hrádek nad Nisou.

Not far from the tripoint you can admire a beautiful small lake, which is accessible via a wonderful wooden footpath. You can also complete the entire route by bike.
