The Elephant Stones (Sloní kameny, also White Stones, Bílé kameny) are striking white rock formations visible from the road on the incline to the mountain pass Jitravské sedlo between the towns of Jablonné v Podještědí and Liberec. The White Stones are divided by three wide, almost vertical rock fissures into several individual rock blocks that form a small rock city. Due to their shape, they are called Elephant Stones because from a distance they look like a group of elephants. The rocks are located on the so-called ridgeway, which connects interesting places in the summit regions of the mountains.

From the parking lot in Jitrava, follow the red markers. The distance from the parking lot to the Elephant Stones is about 1 km. This part of the route is ideal for small children (family-friendly). If you want to extend the route, continue following the red markers to Horní Sedlo. The route leads over the rock formations Kozí hřbety (Goat Ridges). From Horní Sedlo, you can either take the same way back or turn left into the forest after a few meters on the main road (towards Rynoltice) and return to Jitrava.

In Jitrava, on the other side of the main road, you can enjoy a good meal at the Jitravský dvorec restaurant. Address: Jítrava 70, Rynoltice 46353.
Unfortunately, the menu is only available in Czech.
In nearby Rynoltice, there is a good restaurant called Nikola, which specializes in burgers.
