Circular route ‘Siebenschläfer’ (Dormouse) - Easy Hike to the Pristine Forest Area of Mittelsteighütte near Zwieslerwaldhaus

The circular route ‘Siebenschläfer’ (Dormouse) takes you all the way around the enclave of Zwieslerwaldhaus. Starting from parking area P1 at the entrance to Zwieslerwaldhaus, you'll first hike along the river Große Deffernik to Brechhäuslau parking area. From there, the trail continues into the primeval forest relic area of Mittelsteighütte, which has been under protection for over 100 years and serves as a sanctuary for biodiversity and a habitat for endangered species due to its abundance of deadwood. You'll return to the starting point along the forest edge.
