Beautiful hike along the Red Göltzsch past the double bridge and Röthelstein

Starting from the village square in the officially recognized recreational resort Beerheide, begin your hike and experience pure nature. Follow Röthelsteinweg along the Red Göltzsch upstream to the “Weiberteich.” From here, head north along the Gahlenbach to the double bridge. Via Erbwaldweg, return to Röthelsteinweg and along Peace Street where you reach the starting point of your route again.

Village square – Peace Street – Röthelsteinweg – Röthelstein – Rißweg II – along the Red Göltzsch upstream – cross the Red Göltzsch on the bridge – Rißweg I upstream to the raft track – on the raft track south to Weiberteichweg – on Weiberteichweg west to the Weiberteich – north along the Gahlenbach to the double bridge – continue towards Hohofen to Keilaus bench – via Erbwaldweg back to Röthelsteinweg and along Peace Street to the village square

Beerheide is located in the southwest of the Free State of Saxony. The nearest major towns in the area are Plauen, Zwickau and Reichenbach. Beerheide can be conveniently reached via the A72 motorway. Motorway exit: A72 Treuen, exit towards Treuen and from there continue on B169 towards Auerbach, then on S300 towards Klingenthal, or motorway exit: A72 Plauen Ost, exit onto B173 towards Falkenstein and from there on B169 to Auerbach, then on S300 towards Klingenthal
