E-bike Route High Forest Idyll

The e-bike route begins at Vitalis in Weiskirchen. The health resort with a healing climate scores with its spa park, the House of the Guest, and the wildlife and hiking park. Through open country, it goes via Morscholz into the town of Wadern.

At the marketplace, besides fine dining options, the city museum in the Oettinger Schlösschen with its adjacent park awaits. Weekly and monthly markets complete a stopover. After leaving the town center, Schloss and Dagstuhl castle ruin offer the opportunity for another stop. The route continues through the valley of the young Prims river past Bardenbach and Büschfeld to Nunkirchen. Here the Forsthof and the wildlife enclosure with a nice beer garden and Golfpark Weiherhof with a restaurant terrace offering views await. Directly behind the wildlife enclosure, one of our gourmet stations with regional products invites you to rest.

The path now leads through the beautiful forest area of the Lückners to the legendary Odilien chapel. Soothingly, the water trickles here from the spring below the chapel before it feeds the downstream creek. According to legend, it is said to possess healing powers, especially to restore sight to the blind – which is why people from the entire surrounding area have been making pilgrimages here for a long time to wash their eyes. The e-bike route continues through Oppen and Reimsbach along the idyllic Mackenbach. In Hargarten, it passes the lime kiln and then climbs up to the Hungersberg. From up there, you have a fantastic panoramic view.

Then it continues downhill again to Rimlingen and through Bachem. Through a lovely forest section, Losheim am See is reached. The route leads through the town center to the Losheim reservoir. Numerous gastronomy establishments invite you to stop here. Behind the reservoir, forests and fields alternate elegantly until reaching the starting point Weiskirchen again.
