The route starts at the station in Perl, very close to the Mosel riverbank opposite the Europaort Schengen in Luxembourg. It goes through Perl and the picturesque wine village of Sehndorf with its stately wine estates, through vineyards and orchards up to the Saargau. The Roman villa complex in Borg is definitely worth a visit, as it is the only fully reconstructed Roman estate of this size worldwide. The tavern of Villa Borg invites you to stop by with regional and Roman dishes.
The tour continues through meadows and fields over Hellendorf to Büschdorf. In Büschdorf, one of our gourmet stations with regional delicacies awaits at the local boule court. The route then continues to Orscholz and to the Cloef, the famous viewpoint on the Saarschleife. A visit to the nearby treetop walkway offers an even steeper view of the river bend, and a stop at the Regiothek in the Cloef Atrium promises interesting wine tastings. Over Faha and Tettingen-Butzdorf, with the Saarland Distillery Museum, the path leads back over the heights of the Saargau with wide views as far as Luxembourg. Finally, it goes back down to the Mosel valley. In Nennig, another stop is recommended, as here you can admire the largest Roman mosaic north of the Alps. Along the Mosel, the route then returns to Perl station, where you can relax and reflect on the e-bike tour with a glass of wine from Perl.
