Family Day in Wallgau - Fairy Tales and Legends

This tour makes children's eyes and ears widen. The "Fairy Tale Trail" in Wallgau invites children to listen and play at the many stations with reading boards about fairy tales, legends and stories. Fun for the whole family and on the way to the bear cave and the small waterfall you can hear the children asking: Are there really bears in the bear cave?

The tour description

The day starts at the town hall in Wallgau, accessible via the bus stop of the same name, which is easily reached by bus number 9608 & 9618 or with the Alpenwelt Karwendel guest and hiking bus. If you arrive by car, you can either park at the "Wallgau Zentrum" hiking parking lot in Soiernstraße or at the "Haus des Gastes" parking lot. From the town hall, take the second street on the right into Wettersteinstraße and cross the bridge into Zugspitzstraße until you reach the "Haus des Gastes". Pass the tennis court, turn left onto Barmseestraße and continue to the Finzbrücke bridge. Keep right before the bridge, following the signs to Witter and the natural highlight - the bear caves at the small waterfall. Go back down the same way and walk along a small path along the fence to the end of the Witter, cross a small bridge and keep left on the path down to the dried-up Finzbach stream, cross it and then turn left onto the fairytale trail. The fairy tales are explained in a playful way at various stations. There are boards to read aloud and play stations such as a wishing well, the little caterpillar "Nimmersatt", jumping games, a marble game and much more to try out for yourself. On the way back, you can take a detour to the nature playground, where children can let off steam to their heart's content, before returning to the starting point at the Haus des Gastes (refreshments available) and on to the town hall. Please note: The path to the bear cave is not suitable for baby carriages.
