Characteristic of this half-day bike ride are the mostly flat routes from Bexbach via Beeden and Homburg on to Jägersburg and back to Bexbach. Please note, however, that the route is not marked with a logo. We recommend that you read the route description carefully and follow the GPX track on your device. The tour initially passes the Bexbach glider airfield and follows a pleasant dam path towards Limbach. After riding a small stretch through the village, you reach the Blies again and follow it to the Beeder biotope. Here storks and Heck cattle can be observed from the platform. A place to eat would be the fisherman's hut in Beeden (please check opening times on the website) before continuing on the paved cycle path towards Schwarzenbach and Homburg. In the Homburg old town, appealing squares with fountains, cozy pubs, cafés, and excellent restaurants make strolling and lingering a pleasure. Further through pleasant forests near Sanddorf and Bruchhof, you ride to the Jägersburg ponds, where you can also dine in various establishments. A mini-golf course, a climbing park, and a pedal boat rental also invite you to linger. The last stage goes past Kleinottweiler and ends again at the Bexbach Flower Garden. The well-known Saarland mining museum with its 40-meter-high Hindenburg tower is worth a visit here. The flower garden is freely accessible and invites you to relax.
