The route from Leisnig to Grimma not only offers well-developed cycle paths in a beautiful floodplain landscape, but also runs alongside the railroad line, which means that the length of the route can be adjusted as required at any time.

The tour begins in Leisnig. On the market square, next to the town hall, the "Dancing Apples" water playground is a fun starting point for the little tour members.

The Podelwitz moated castle is also worth a stop. It is home to the Heimatstuben, where you will find a unique collection of regional history.

A highlight of the tour is the trip on the historic cable ferry to Höfgen, the village of the senses. Information on departure times can be found here: grimma.de/kultur-und-tourismus/entdeckungen/muldeschifffahrt-und-faehre

From Höfgen, you can either take the "Path of Stones" to Grimma or take the ferry back to the other side of the river and cycle downstream to your destination.
