- Start: Waldscheibenteich in Rammenau
The hiking route was newly established as part of the "Qualifying Hiking Trails in the Westlausitz Region" project in coordination with the municipalities of Rammenau and Bischofswerda. The result is an attractive connection between the neighboring communities. The Gruna, as an accompanying creek along the route, served as a guide and namesake. Starting from the Waldscheibenteich, one can reach the source of the Gruna in about 15 minutes via the "2-Sources Route". The trail is marked with a yellow dash. Highlights of the route include the "Oberlausitz view", the Kleppischberg viewpoint, the old execution site, and the new rest area with information board in Schaudorf in Rammenau. The former Gruna mill is also located at the edge of the path.

The starting point at Waldscheibenteich can be reached from the parking lot at Rammenau Castle via Kirschallee heading north. From the starting point, the path leads a short distance along the little-trafficked road to Röderbrunn until it turns left right at the Margareten Oak to the "Oberlausitz view". From here, there is a beautiful view over the Oberlausitz, as the name suggests. The path now crosses the district Oberrammenau and leads us over meadows to Kleppischberg (343 m), another viewpoint along the path. After crossing the S 158, you immediately reach the "Old execution site" of Rammenau. From here, the path goes through Schaudorf, a small district of the municipality. Behind the village, the hiking trail leads to a farm road and past a newly created rest area with information board. Always heading south, the path leaves Rammenau and now leads to Frankenthal. At the Beigut, the path meets the also new "Seeligstädter-Frankenthaler-Path", which offers a direct connection to the Massenei forest area. However, if you continue on the Gruna hiking trail, you will eventually reach Goldbach. From there, there are further connections to Bischofswerda and Großharthau.

You can reach Rammenau via the A4, Burkau junction. Then follow the signs towards Rammenau and leave the roundabout towards the town center. In town, turn at the municipal administration/in front of the Old Forge into Fichte Street, which leads directly to the castle.
From the B6 (coming from Bautzen/Bischofswerda or Dresden), follow the signs to Rammenau. Again, leave the roundabout towards Rammenau town center and turn at the municipal administration/in front of the Old Forge into Fichte Street, which leads directly to the castle.
Parking lot at Rammenau Castle (paid)
Start and end points are only accessible by a longer walk connected to public transport. However, those who wish can take the bus to Rammenau and start from there instead of from Waldscheibenteich. From Goldbach, you can reach Bischofswerda train station by following the Sommersteg eastwards. This creates a circular route of about 3 kilometers.
