As starting points for this circular route, we recommend the villages of Kleinröhrsdorf and Wallroda. There are hardly any slopes on the route. It runs continuously on comfortable paths. The highlights of the route are the Wallroda reservoir and the extensive forest area of the Massenei. The hiking trail is marked continuously with a yellow dot.
With some stamina, this route can also be combined with the "Around Sachsenmilch" hiking trail.

Directions
If you start in Kleinröhrsdorf, you first follow the "Wing L" into the legendary forest area of the Massenei. On the Heuweg, you reach the Wallroda reservoir, where swimming is also possible. Via a combined walking and cycling path, you reach the village of Wallroda, a district of the municipality Arnsdorf. From here, you head north to the outskirts settlement of Radeberg. After crossing the S158, follow the "Wendensteig" to Sandberg (289 m above sea level). Here, there is a beautiful panoramic view over Radeberg, Leppersdorf, and the Landwehr, a forest area between Radeberg and Feldschlößchen. Via the "Long Wing" through Niederforst, you then return to the starting point.

After prolonged rain, the Heuweg is often very muddy. Good footwear is then necessary.

The circular hiking route is easily accessible by train. From Kleinröhrsdorf station, follow Radeberger Straße heading west and then turn left into Hahnweg. After about a 10-minute walk in total, you will have reached the starting point of the hike.

For a stopover en route, the Seeterrasse restaurant at the LuxOase camping and leisure park directly on the Wallroda reservoir is recommended. On summer days, the Wallroda reservoir invites you to go swimming.
