Start: Historic Düppenweiler Copper Mine; Piesbacher Straße, 66701 Beckingen-Düppenweiler

Mostly on narrow forest and meadow paths over many wooden bridges, you walk around the village of Düppenweiler. Information boards with backgrounds on the geological peculiarities, legendary sites, as well as the prehistory and early history of the region around Litermont make the hike a special local history lesson.

This path does not lack variety: wooden bridges, a romantic stream valley, and beautiful viewpoints provide the hiker with an authentic experience. At dawn or in autumn fog, one might get a shiver down the spine at legendary sites such as the "Grey Stone" or the "Execution Site" near the Valentinus Chapel.

The route offers the hiker an opportunity to learn about the historical and geological peculiarities as well as the legend world of the Litermont region.

The path was rated with 60 experience points by the German Hiking Institute.
