- Start: Görlitz Old Town
- Destination: Görlitz Old Town
The best starting point for the 37-kilometer circular route around Germany's easternmost city is the Old Town Bridge of the European city Görlitz/Zgorzelec. Riding through the historic old town, past original preserved buildings in the styles of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Gründerzeit, and Art Nouveau, you can feel the splendor of bygone times at every corner. You can also start your route at the Landeskrone. The cycling route is marked with number 13.

Directions
Görlitz - Pfaffendorf - Markersdorf - Königshain - Schöpstal - Görlitz
The route starts at the Old Town Bridge and leads you along the Neisse to the City Park. You cross the main road and cycle up Emmerich Street to Jakob Tunnel. Behind the train station, follow the Saxon City Route and the tram tracks to Landeskrone.
Now it goes past Görlitz's local mountain, the Landeskrone, and the village of Pfaffendorf. The next destination is Markersdorf, where a visit to the village museum is worthwhile. Past meadows and forests, the somewhat demanding route leads over the Königshain Mountains to Königshain. Worth seeing here are the Granite Mining Museum and the castle complex. Next to the stately Baroque castle from the 18th century with its park is the Steinstock, which was built in the 13th/14th century as medieval living quarters and can still be visited today. The route continues through Ebersbach/Schöpstal back to Görlitz on the Kreisbahn cycle path. It is recommended to end the day in one of the lovely cafés and restaurants there.
