The cycle path runs partly on asphalted cycle/pedestrian paths, partly on little-trafficked roads, always along the former railway line and the Schwarzbach stream up to its source. There are many sights along the route, such as the Musical Instrument Museum and the demonstration workshops in Markneukirchen, which provide insights into the traditional musical instrument making of the Vogtland region, a game reserve, the Café Mönnig, the Erlbach village museum, the Erlbach brewery, and more. There is a connection to the Elsterradweg in Adorf and a connection to the Musikantenradweg in Erlbach and Markneukirchen.

Directions
The bike route starts in Adorf and runs always eastward along the Schwarzbach stream. Via Siebenbrunn, Markneukirchen is reached. Here, the Musical Instrument Museum and the demonstration workshops can be visited. It continues past the swimming pool on the Badesteig path to Erlbach and from there along Klingenthaler Street to the Schwarzbach source. The bike route can be undertaken in both directions and extended as desired. A detour to Klingenthal to the north is especially recommended for all music enthusiasts.
