The route is great for a walk before or after a delicious meal at the mountain restaurant. From the observation tower on Schwedenstein, there is a great panoramic view of the surrounding area. The path is consistently marked with a green dot. Along the way, there are wonderful views of the town of Steina and in the direction of Upper Lusatia.

Directions
- From the parking lot, first head towards Hexentanzplatz and continue downhill to Gickelsberg. Along Strangweg, the path leads north to Kirchsteig, where you turn right to return to the access road to Schwedenstein. Follow this briefly to Grenzweg, along which you proceed back to the starting point of the round.

- Getting there
Ohorn can be reached via the A4, Ohorn junction. Then follow the signs towards Ohorn and continue along Bretniger Street before turning right onto Hauptstraße. When this ends, turn left onto Schulstraße and then immediately right onto Gickelsberg Street, which after about one kilometre becomes Steinaer Str. After another 650 m, turn right onto Bergstraße to follow the signs to Schwedenstein.
ParkingAdequate free parking spaces are available at the parking lot at Schwedenstein.
Public transportationThe Schwedenstein can be reached by bus from Kamenz or Pulsnitz. From the bus stop "Ohorn Gickelsberg Turning Area" it is about 600 m on foot to Schwedenstein. Information on the connection can be found here.
