The route is great for a walk before or after a delicious meal at the mountain restaurant. From the observation tower on Schwedenstein, there is a great panoramic view of the surrounding area. The path is consistently marked with a green dot. Along the way, there are wonderful views of the town of Steina and in the direction of Upper Lusatia.

Ohorn can be reached via the A4, Ohorn junction. Then follow the signs towards Ohorn and continue along Bretniger Street before turning right onto Hauptstraße. When this ends, turn left onto Schulstraße and then immediately right onto Gickelsberg Street, which after about one kilometre becomes Steinaer Str. After another 650 m, turn right onto Bergstraße to follow the signs to Schwedenstein.
Adequate free parking spaces are available at the parking lot at Schwedenstein.
The Schwedenstein can be reached by bus from Kamenz or Pulsnitz. From the bus stop "Ohorn Gickelsberg Turning Area" it is about 600 m on foot to Schwedenstein. Information on the connection can be found here.
