From Bayrischzell, follow in the footsteps of filmmakers to Schliersee: past numerous filming locations of the ZDF romantic series "Frühling" to 'Bayer auf Rügen' — even Pumuckl has vacationed here! 50 kilometers of road cycling enjoyment on stunning paths with magnificent views.

The film cycling route in the Tegernsee Schliersee Alpine region starts directly at the church square of Bayrischzell with a view of the Wendelstein. From here it goes along the Schlierach-Leitzach valley to Schliersee — just like in the opening scene of Marcus H. Rosenmüller’s "Whoever dies earlier lives longer".

At Schliersee, you will find numerous filming locations from the SAT1 cult series "Ein Bayer auf Rügen", such as the well-known Oberleitenhof, which became the "Aiblinger Hof" in the series. By the way, there are also some scenes from the film series "Frühling" to discover here, which mainly takes place at the starting point of the route, in Bayrischzell.

On the way back, near Fischbachau, lies the holiday home of Meister Eder and his Pumuckl from "Pumuckl goes on holiday". The documentary "Still" was also filmed here in the Leitzach valley.

With a view of the Wendelstein, it goes back via Mieseben near Geitau to Bayrischzell, where many well-known locations from the ZDF romantic series "Frühling" starring Simone Thomalla await discovery at the end of the route.

The route is also excellently suited as an e-bike tour.
