Scenic circular route with opportunities to stop for refreshments, as well as geological and botanical highlights.

The National Park community of Ilsenburg with the Ilse Valley is one of the northern gateways to the Harz National Park. Here you will find a beautiful and very diverse landscape. In addition to species-rich forests, rugged rocks, roaring waterfalls, and murmuring streams, you may also be lucky enough to spot rare animal species such as peregrine falcons, black storks, wildcats, fire salamanders, and brown trout.
