Königshain - Mengelsdorf - Biesig - Dittmannsdorf - Arnsdorf-Hilbersdorf - Thiemendorf

The 26-kilometre circular tour around the Königshain mountains is ideal for the more demanding cyclist. You start from Königshain in the direction of Mengelsdorf. Lots of nature and a constant up and down accompany you. After a short rest in one of the restaurants or cafés, visit the granite mining museum and the castle complex with its stately baroque castle from the 18th century, as well as the stone tower from the 13th/14th century. Your cycle tour continues to Mengelsdorf, where the Wotan oak tree, one of the oldest trees in Upper Lusatia, stands not far from the path. In Biesig, you cycle past an old manor house and the fire department museum before the tour continues via Dittmannsdorf to Arnsdorf-Hilbersdorf. A visit to the country cinema here is a real experience. Now you come to Thiemendorf, where Emil Barber, the most important botanist in Upper Lusatia, was born in 1857. Passing the Königshainer Berge nature reserve, you return to Königshain.
