This was historically significant as the castle of Count Wiprecht of Groitzsch and is considered the oldest stone building in Saxony. Next, the path enters the nature reserve “Pfarrholz,” a species-rich floodplain forest area, which is crossed by the Schwennigke river. Passing the villages of Altengroitzsch and Saasdorf, the route continues via Gatzen to Löbnitz-Bennewitz. Here, the route ends at the former manor, the baptism place of Ulrike von Levetzow.
