The 175 km long Viezstraße leads from Merzig and Saarlouis in the south via the Saarburger Land to Trier in the north. It is lined with a dense network of cycling and hiking trails. Numerous sights make the route a real discovery tour.
Viez, as apple wine is called in the Saar-Moselle region, juices, fruit spreads, liqueurs, secco, cider or high-quality spirits offer enjoyment and variety. The tasty products are offered in the tasting rooms and farm shops of the producers or in the inns and hotels along the route. They are excellent advertising media for the orchards that characterize the landscape on Viezstraße.
