- Start: German Space Exhibition
- Destination: Rißfälle
The route leads from the modern German Space Exhibition to the historic site where the wood from the upper Vogtland was floated. The wood needed in Leipzig once had to take the route through the floating channels into the Göltzsch and before Greiz into the White Elster.
The region-typical hilly landscape with dense forests and wide meadows invites active recreation on two wheels. Around the village of Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz, where the modern space exhibition and the ancient craft of bell casting stand opposite each other, there are numerous discovery routes. Enjoy the natural beauty along refreshing river valleys, roaring forests and blooming mountain meadows combined with exciting cultural monuments. After such an up-and-down ride, our country inns reward you with tasty regional specialties. A great place to stop is just above the Rißfälle at the Bauernschänke before taking the return journey on the bike.
