Directions

From the starting point of the German Space Exhibition, ride towards the village center to the roundabout. Next to the B283 runs the Mulde cycle path to Jägersgrün, and from there continue on the walking and cycling path to Tannenbergsthal. It's worth making a detour to the 300-year-old manor house at Klingenthaler Str. 29, where the tourist information is also located. In front of it, on the newly designed village square, the extraordinary arch of lights with its 12 biblical gemstones is a special attraction and sets the mood for the Topaz World Schneckenstein. The route continues past the Tannenbergsthal bathing pond, following the yellow hiking signs to the Bodateich pond. From there, it goes uphill on the lightly trafficked road to Schneckenstein, with the only 'above-ground topaz rock' in the world, part of the 'Topaz World'. This also includes the visitor mine 'Grube Tannenberg' and the mineral center. The return to the starting point along the same route is a relaxed ride downhill.
