 - Start: German Space Exhibition
 - Destination: Vogtland Lake

Route (1) connects the German Space Exhibition with the lake that bears the region's name. It passes by the Grünheide forest park. For children, the Grünheide forest park offers a welcome change from cycling with its various play options. Not many minutes away is Vogtland Lake. Rare bird species breed on its shores, exotic dragonflies swarm around old trees. As a bathing lake, it offers cyclists a pleasant refreshment in summer before they pedal back the same way.
The region's characteristic hilly landscape with dense forests and wide meadows invites active recreation on two wheels. Around the village of Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz there are numerous discovery routes. Enjoy the natural beauty along refreshing river valleys, rushing forests, and blooming mountain meadows paired with exciting cultural monuments. After such an up and down ride, our country inns reward you with tasty regional specialties.
