- Start: Warngau station
- Destination: Darching station
The Taubenberg between Warngau, Valley/Darching, and Weyarn rises only about 300 meters above the valley and appears rather inconspicuous at first glance – but those who set out to explore the area discover beautiful hiking trails, surprising views, and cozy little spots.
Highlights are the observation tower at the highest point of Taubenberg, the mountain inn just below it, the pilgrimage chapel Nüchternbrunn, as well as the Fentberg at the end just before Darching. The route runs (without many elevation meters) almost the entire ridge from Taubenberg to Fentberg.
Already at the Warngau station, you can follow the signs towards Taubenberg – through the pretty village center of Oberwarngau and gently ascending into the forest. After 3.5 kilometers, you reach the highest point of the route. In a rolling up and down, it continues over the observation tower, the mountain inn Taubenberg, and the pilgrimage chapel Nüchternbrunn to Mitterdarching.
