Perfect circular hike for the hiking-loving family – including mountain panorama and a nice stop with a playground, sheep, and pigs.

It takes just over half an hour from Munich central station, and already you get off in Warngau in picture-book Bavaria. From the station, you stroll over Oberwarngau on this loop on to Osterwarngau. On Nüchternbrunnweg, you finally enter the forest and then go uphill over the (partly steep) Taferlweg.

Shortly after the ascent, the pretty Marienpilgrimage Church Nüchternbrunn awaits, and in a rolling up and down you reach after 1.5 km the mountain inn Taubenberg, which besides food also offers a playground and lots of animals. However, the youngsters should not play too vigorously, because the ascent to the lookout tower (with a grand view of the Bavarian Alps) and the highest point of Taubenberg follows. Then it's only downhill back to Warngau.
