The municipality of Sohland a.d. Spree consists of three villages closely connected to each other.
Of great importance is the large number of Umgebinde houses especially in the village of Wehrsdorf, which can be experienced up close with this hiking proposal. In combination with old granite troughs or some sundials on the gables, the gaze can wander past the old houses with unique timber construction over the gently spread landscape of the Upper Lusatian Highlands.
Through quiet forests where only the wind in the trees and birds sing, the adventurous hiker wanders into the village of Sohland, where wonderful views and interesting buildings towards the village center can be admired. The path then continues along the reservoir, a recreational area with a good opportunity for a strengthening break on or by the water. Returning to the start of the circular route through quiet streets, one can take a rest at the Leuner quarry in Wehrsdorf and enjoy the unique view of Wehrsdorf.

The starting point is the center of Wehrsdorf, the Postplatz.
The B98 is crossed and the path leads along the short AWG street uphill southwards into a quiet forest area. The hiker stays on this main path and reaches the Dreiherrenstein, a granite stone from 1750, slightly to the right of the path. When the view widens, turn left and follow this path to the Prinz-Friedrich-August Tower. From this lodge, the path goes a little north again in the forest and then downhill in a curve along the so-called Kirschallee to Hainspacher Straße, which is followed a short distance to the left and after a few meters turns left into Alte Dorfstraße. This street runs parallel to the main street of Sohland to the center of this village. The market with the towering church is reached, walked along, and at the end of this street turn right into Bahnhofstraße and immediately right again into Straße am Friedenshain. After passing under the railway viaduct, turn left into Himmelsbrückenweg and after crossing the Spree, left again into Weg An der Aue, which is followed along the Spree to the reservoir. Continue along this lake to the end, then left over a bridge over the Spree into Spreetalstraße. Now cross Bautzener Straße and walk into Scheidenbachstraße. This merges after several curves into Wiesengrundweg, at the end of which Lessingstraße lies ahead of the hiker. The hiking sign Yellow Stripe marks the further route. This means that a piece of Geißlerweg is also walked (here after about 100 meters you can turn right to Leuner quarry), shortly after the Wehrsdorf church turn left and the starting point is reached again.

The Wehrsdorf forest swimming pool invites you to visit during the summer months. Although not directly on the route, it is worth a visit.
