From the wine town of Perl to Hellendorf, with wide views over the tri-border area Germany-Luxembourg-France and past the archaeological park Roman Villa Borg, runs the first stage of the award-winning long-distance hiking trail.

A stage with a highlight right at the beginning: The Hammelsberg nature reserve opens up a wide view into the Moselle valley. Another highlight of the stage is the Roman Villa Borg. Here a villa rustica was faithfully restored and rebuilt. Through vineyards and over field paths it goes up to the heights of the Saar region to the village of Hellendorf.
