Challenging hike over the Hohfelsen.

This partly challenging route leads from Seibelseckle directly beside the rest hut to the Mummelsee. From the Mummelsee car park, the path first goes downhill via the Elsaweg to the Hohfelsen. Over a narrow side path, you hike to the exposed rock massif with a summit cross. It was erected by the Seebach Kolping Association for the many war dead, but also for soldiers from the home community of Seebach who often returned from long captivity. The ascent of the rock massif, secured with a railing, is rewarded with a wonderful view of the Grimmerswald valley and the surrounding Black Forest mountains. From the Hohfelsen, the hike continues past the Busterbächer Hut (with seating area and fountain) past numerous blockstone heaps to the beautiful viewpoint (seating area) and from there to the Wolfsbrunnen quarry. After crossing the quarry, you reach the Wolfsbrunnen (refreshments available in the Kaminstub'n). From the guesthouse, the path leads uphill again along the "Seebächle". Past the active quarry and later past an area reclaimed by nature, the path steeply climbs through the wonderful forest back to the starting point at Seibelseckle (refreshments available).
