Traumschleife Waldzeit

From the starting point at the sports center in Hülzweiler, the route goes past the forest chapel through the magnificent Schwalbacher Forest. The area is shaped by mining, and you will repeatedly find relics of this time within striking distance of the path, such as the "Neyschacht" built in 1936. On the further route towards Krickelsberg, enjoy views towards Elm and stroll through an enchanted avenue in the forest. The Krickelsberg tower rewards with extensive panoramas of the surroundings.

In the extensive forest area around the Krickelsberg, you walk for a while on charming paths before reaching the next highlight of the route, the "Dreibannstein" built in 1757. Here you are at the intersection of the former borders of Lorraine, the immediate imperial ban, and the County of Nassau-Saarbrücken.

Shortly after, the Kneipp facility "Auf Schwarscht" invites you to a relaxed break and water treading. Passing the Schönstatt Chapel at the edge of the village of Hülzweiler, the path then leads towards the forest lake, a true gem of the municipality of Schwalbach. Nearby is the Hülzweiler open-air stage, one of the largest of its kind in the southwest German region. With a bit of luck, you may attend a theater play or concert here. Or simply enjoy a picnic in the spectator area with an incomparable panoramic view of the stage. A better way to end a hike does not exist.
