Wächterbergweg

We leave the parking lot and initially follow a narrow path. Then it continues through a single-family house settlement to the north up to the foot of the Schleißberg. However, this is not climbed fully; before that, the path turns right. Over a large meadow, the route now heads towards Stipendie and further into the Luchsenburg. The path then follows the Tellerweg, which is also used by many other local and regional hiking routes.

Ohorn can be reached via the A4, Ohorn junction. Then follow Bertniger Street north and turn right onto the main street. At the end of the main street, turn left into Schulstraße and then immediately right into Gickelsbergstr.. On the right side is the hiking parking lot, which marks the starting point of the hike.

There are sufficient parking facilities at the parking lot.

The hike can be reached by bus that runs between Kamenz and Pulsnitz. The "Ohorn Rathaus" stop is located directly at the parking lot from which the hike starts. Further information can be found on the VVO website.

The Buschmühle natural pool is a great place to cool off on warm days.
