Bistro de la Cameleer

A little Middle Eastern oasis in the heart of Osnabrück’s Old Town: The Bistro de la Cameleer combines Mediterranean lightness with flavors from Israel, Turkey, Greece, and Morocco. From crispy falafel patties and spicy halloumi to shawarma, lamb dishes, Middle Eastern salads, and sweet chocolate-date cake, the kitchen is filled with the aromas of spices, herbs, and freshly prepared specialties. The bistro is now run by the second generation of the family and has retained its own unique character. Many recipes have been developed and refined over the years; the dishes are homemade and served with a palpable attention to detail. The dining area is intentionally kept intimate, creating a personal atmosphere where a visit feels more like a culinary discovery than a quick stop. Vegetarian guests will also find a varied selection here. For celebrations and special occasions, the bistro also customizes its Mediterranean-Oriental specialties as finger food, a buffet, or with live cooking.
