The UNESCO World Heritage Church of St. Mary's Cathedral is one of Hildesheim's main attractions. But what makes it so special? The cathedral's mighty dimensions alone are impressive - and of course its unique art treasures. For example, the gilded chandelier from the Middle Ages with a diameter of six metres! Or the so-called Bernward Door - a masterpiece of cast bronze art. But it is not only the architecture that is marvelled at here. A popular photo spot is the 1000-year-old rose bush.
