The Leipzig Notenrad offers an unusual combination of music and natural recreation and creates its own world of experience. A project of Notenspur Leipzig e.V. in cooperation with ADFC Leipzig.

Leipzig, a city of music and the home and place of work of outstanding composers from the 18th to 20th centuries, has a wide variety of places of interest in terms of music history, which can be experienced via the "Leipzig Music Wheel" cycle route.

The route leads through Wilhelminian-style districts and gardens, branching river courses and species-rich floodplain forest, estates and parks, manor houses and art in public spaces.

The Leipzig Music Wheel begins at St. Thomas Church and ends at the New Gewandhaus, thus encircling the two focal points and peaks of Leipzig's musical history.

The Music Wheel consists of an approx. 20 km long western loop and an equally long eastern loop. In total, it covers around 40 km and 23 music wheel stations.
