The Luther Trail in Saxony is a spiritual circular hiking route. It invites you to walk in the footsteps of the Reformation and visit interesting places of activity.
Description
It connects 27 places where Luther and his companions were active. Along the route, the strong women of the Reformation are also remembered – for example, at Nimbschen Monastery near Grimma, where Luther’s later wife Katharina von Bora lived. Or at Rochlitz Castle and Kriebstein Castle, where Duchess Elisabeth of Rochlitz introduced the Reformation despite all resistance.
Its total length is about 564 kilometers but can of course be hiked in sections.
